Shark Week 30th Anniversary Special

Inspired by the historic events of the USS Indianapolis,  Paul de Gelder and James Glancy spend two days floating in the open ocean, to find out what it’s really like to be shipwrecked.  With no food, water or sleep, they start to weaken.

The location is the waters of Cat Island, the Bahamas. One of the last refuges for the endangered oceanic white tip. A shark said to be responsible for hundreds of deaths of shipwreck survivors during WW2.

A safety and medical team  float 300 feet away from the men, monitoring their every move.  A safety plane is on standby. Within minutes, sharks start to arrive.

Over the next 2 days an extraordinary survival story unfolds.  As Paul and James weaken, they drift more than 25 miles out to sea and the white tips get increasingly confident. From violent storms, to being bumped at night; it’s unique, high octane adventure; SharkWrecked.
